A slightly larger unit will give you "Wiggle Room" to move items around on rainy days without getting them wet.

Use protective padding under fine furniture with wooden feet.

Thin plastic covers placed over stored items will help protect them from dust, blowing snow or possibly a bird or two.

Number cartons, and then keep the list of what is in each box at home so no one could tell what you have in them. "Don't write directly on the box what is in the box."

Keep a flashlight or battery operated lantern handy in case you need something from your unit after it is dark.
